Limpopo Premier, Mr Sello Moloto, congratulates Cassius Baloyi for winning six world boxing titles
Limpopo Premier Sello Moloto has congratulated Cassius Baloyi for scooping the IBF world Junior lightweight title fight held at Mafikeng in the Northwest province on Saturday evening. Cassius Baloyi is a Limpopo based internationally acclaimed boxer who hail from Malamulele Township in the Vhembe district. The Premier said that “Baloyi’s victory over Mzonke Fana will no doubt make him a well sought after boxer and one of the most treasured sportspersons in the country.”
“The fact that Baloyi comes from Limpopo and is also the only South African boxer to ever win six world boxing titles, can only confirm the status of our province as an emerging capital of professional boxing in the country,” added Premier Sello Moloto. “Limpopo people are very proud of his achievements and wish him well in his career.” He called on young people to stay away from alcohol and drug abuse and instead follow Baloyi’s example.
