He said his committee has not being provided with adequate information on what is currently taking place in developing Africa’s transport sector. "In a nutshell, we know the objectives but we don’t know the status of projects within NEPAD," he added.
He stressed the need for linkages to be put in place between NEPAD and PAP that will help inform the people of Africa about progress towards attainment goals. On the issue of the African Peer Review Mechanism, Mostefa said the APRM is evaluating about 15 countries yet “as parliamentarians we are not even called to observe the evaluation".
He urged the APRM Executive Director to take action. “There is a need to co-exist in the process,” he said.
