The NEPAD Secretariat last week announced the launch of two new television programmes on the SABC Africa channel — African Views, every Wednesday evening between 20:00 and 21:00 South African time, and 180 Degrees every Thursday morning at 08:00 South African time.

Africa Views is a live phone-in programme featuring panel discussions on various topics around current NEPAD development initiatives. The 180 Degrees slot is a brief interview-based programme.

Due to the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the death of the South African hero Steve Biko, the African Views programme scheduled for Wednesday 12 September was substituted by a live broadcast of President Thabo Mbeki giving the commemorative speech.

The programme that was to have been broadcast on 12 September will be broadcast tonight, 14 September, from 20:00 to 21:00 South African time.

The NEPAD Secretariat apologises for any inconvenience this change in programming may have caused.

The next African Views programme on 19 September features Prof. Eric Buch, NEPAD Advisor, Health and HIV.
