NEPAD Food and Nutrition Security Advisor, Boitshepo Bibi Giyose, was presented with the Distinguised Alumna Award by the Appalachian State University’s Alumni Association at its annual awards banquet in Boone, North Carolina on April 21.
The award recognises her outstanding accomplishments in the field of international nutrition.
Giyose, originally from Botswana, graduated from Appalachian in 1989 with a degree in nutrition and dietetics.
She is on of those rare individuals who know early in life that they want to make a difference in the lives of others.
