The adoption of NEPAD as the development programme of the African Union and its African Peer Review Mechanism has enhanced political and economic governance of the continent but the challenges remain daunting, said the Chairman of the African Union, Ghana’s President John Kufuor, in a message to mark Africa Day on 25 May 2007.
