The NEPAD Secretariat has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Spanish Government in support of the economic empowerment of African women. The signing marks the beginning a new partnership between the women of Africa and Spain, in the spirit of the Maputo and Madrid Encounters of African and Spanish Women.
With the support of the Spanish Government through the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation (AECI), the NEPAD Secretariat will implement a three-year project on the empowerment of women in Africa.
